Hire Terms & Conditions
| Fleet Pricing is based on the star grading and size of a coach. Bus NZ reserves the right to provide: a) A higher grade coach than quoted subject to availability. b) A larger coach than quoted subject to availability. b) A coach within non Bus NZ livery if necessary due to high demand (may be subcontracted). These circumstances are more likely to occur in peak season months (November - April). Should one of the above circumstances conflict with the interests of your group we are happy to address and prioritise your request. Please advise Bus NZ staff of this prior to departure. | | Passengers Safety belts where fitted must be worn (legal obligation). No alcohol or smoking is permitted on board coaches (legal obligation). Tour directors are not permitted to stand when the coach is in motion.(legal obligation) Coaches have legal weight restrictions to adhere to. Luggage allowance is one travel bag and one light weight carry bag per passenger. Should further luggage capacity be required it is recommended that a larger coach be hired (where total seat capacity exceeds that of the group size). Bus NZ will not be held responsible for damaged luggage, luggage left behind on the coach, or theft of luggage that is directly the result of passenger interference. | | Drivers Bus NZ drivers are licensed, professional staff. By law our drivers are required to comply with legal hours of duty as set by the Land Transport Safety Authority. Bus NZ will only accept quotes based on the above legislation and will advise of any itinerary changes required to comply to driving hours if applicable. Where an itinerary has an overnight accommodation or meal requirement this will be supplied by the client. If accommodation is supplied by the client the accommodation must meet minimum standard levels. The minimum to be supplied is a studio room with its own toilet and shower facility. Sharing a room with a tour leader or passengers is not permitted. Drivers meals must be of an acceptable standard. | | Bus Tour & Charter Itineraries Bus NZ arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure times from Airport or pick up point . Bus NZ will not be held responsible for any loss, injury or damage resulting from any activity associated with the charter. This includes, but is not limited to: loss, injury or damage as a result of, fire, machinery breakdown, civil disturbances, theft, delays, itinerary changes, adverse weather. Changes to itineraries may be requested at any time by the client. These changes may be requested and approved through Bus NZ head office. Additional charges may apply. Bus NZ drivers can not undertake requested itinerary changes from a group without prior approval from head office. | | Quotes and Bookings Quotes are issued in New Zealand dollars and are exclusive of GST unless otherwise stated. The quote will exclude the cost for drivers accommodation and meals away from their home base. Quotes will be provided on the basis of: a) The star grading of the coach (economy or economy plus). Economy coaches will be of a 2-3 star grading and economy plus coaches will be of a 3 or 3 star plus grading. b) Size of the coach (48- 50 seats) c) Kilometres within the itinerary. d) drivers hours. e) Any additional tour costs (driver accommodation, meals, or peak season rates). Acceptance of a signed quote and confirmation of booking is based on availability of fleet. | | Insurance Information on Bus NZ insurance cover for BusNZ tours and charters is available on request. |
